Management studio/Visual studio will take care all, if need third party tools, can use Redgate,Idera, foglight.

Dev How do you know the market is tough? Why are you discouraging people who is willing to learn something? There is nothing wrong learning SQL. Probably your friend isn't smart enough to get the job.
