Hi friends, I wanted to know if you have come accross this situation. I have a valid visa, that expires in Dec 2007. Is there any way that i can go to canada this august and apply for Renewal. I want to go to Nepal this Dec, but I want to renew my visa before I go home. Please share your experiences with renewing visa from Canada.

You can go to Canada and get it renewed. It is very simple... you can go online and get a date... and if you are just going there for a day and coming back you don't even need a visa (to enter Canada)...However, if you have ever been out of status, your visa might be denied. Also usually they will only give you a visa till the date on your I-20...but there have been a few exceptions... Good luck!

Sillygirl..thank you for your reply...but one more thing...can I still apply before my current visa expire?? I wanna go to canada this Aug and my current visa is till Dec 07

hey dude, You can.why not? It's a good idea to apply before your visa exires..However, I have heard some cases that many got rejected from Canada. Consular told them to go to their home country and get one. They assume you that: if you are capble of paying tutition with out working; why not you can go to Nepal for Visa renewal.. I agree with that too.. Dude, so why don't you go to Nepal and do from there...As long as you have status maintained, you are good. Keep your head cool fly nepal.. Good Luck
